Day 1: April 11
Depart the USA
Your Your Tuscany adventure begins as we depart Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport on an overnight flight to Italy. Sit back, relax, and get ready for a week filled with incredible food, world-class wines, charming villages, and the breathtaking landscapes of Tuscany.
Day 2: April 12
Welcome to Tuscany
Buongiorno & welcome to Italy!
Upon arrival in Florence, meet your Defined Destinations Tour Director before traveling into the heart of Tuscany. Home for the next six nights is a beautiful Tuscan villa-style hotel nestled among rolling vineyards and olive groves. Rather than changing hotels throughout the week, settle in and enjoy Tuscany at a relaxed pace while exploring the region on memorable day trips.
This evening, enjoy a welcome aperitif followed by dinner hosted by Belinda Jensen as we celebrate the beginning of our Tuscan adventure.

Day 3: April 13
Florence & Michelangelo's David
Today we visit one of Italy's most beautiful cities, Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance.
A local guide introduces us to many of Florence's iconic landmarks, including Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. We'll also enjoy a visit inside the Accademia Gallery to stand before Michelangelo's masterpiece, the David.
Following time to enjoy lunch on your own, spend the afternoon exploring Florence's charming streets, cafés and boutiques before returning to our hotel in Tuscany.

Day 4: April 14
San Gimignano & Tuscan Cooking Class
This morning we travel to the medieval hill town of San Gimignano, famous for its impressive stone towers, winding streets and timeless charm.
During a guided walking tour, discover its fascinating history before visiting the beautiful Collegiate Church.
Later today, experience one of Tuscany's greatest traditions during a hands-on pasta cooking class at a local farm. Learn authentic recipes from local experts before enjoying the delicious meal you've helped prepare, paired with regional wines.
Return to our hotel for the evening.

Day 5: April 15
Truffle Hunting & Siena
Today is one of the highlights of our Tuscan adventure as we head into the Tuscan countryside for a truffle hunting experience. Learn about the tradition of truffle hunting before enjoying a lunch featuring local specialties.
Later, discover the beautiful city of Siena with a local guide. Explore its historic streets, magnificent cathedral and fascinating Contrada Museum while learning about the city's famous Palio horse race and centuries-old traditions.
This evening we enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant in Siena before returning to our hotel.

Day 6: April 16
Pienza & Montepulciano
Today we explore two of Tuscany's most beloved hill towns, Pienza and Montepulciano, while traveling through some of Tuscany's most picturesque landscapes.
Our first stop is the charming Renaissance town of Pienza, famous for its pecorino cheese. Enjoy time to stroll its picturesque streets before visiting a local farm for a cheese tasting.
Later we continue to Montepulciano, one of Tuscany's most beautiful hill towns, where we'll enjoy a tasting of celebrated Tuscan wines while soaking in spectacular countryside views.
Return to the hotel this evening.

Day 7: April 17
Chianti Villages & Farewell Dinner
Enjoy another wonderful day exploring the villages and vineyards of Chianti.
Spend the day discovering the heart of Chianti as we visit charming villages surrounded by vineyards, wineries, and some of Tuscany's most spectacular scenery. Enjoy free time to browse local shops, relax at a café, or simply soak in the authentic Tuscan atmosphere.
Return to the hotel this afternoon to relax before this evening's farewell celebration at Castello di Vicchiomaggio. Set in a historic castle overlooking the vineyards, enjoy a memorable Tuscan dinner paired with Chianti Classico wines as we toast an unforgettable week together.

Day 8: April 18
Arrivederci, Tuscany
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Tuscany and transfer to Florence Airport for our flight home.
