Day 3:  November 4
Golden Circle Experience

Embark on a journey through Iceland's Golden Circle, starting at the enchanting Þingvellir National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is not just the birthplace of Iceland's first parliament - it's also the oldest existing parliamentary site globally, established in AD 930. Þingvellir holds immense historical significance as Iceland's most treasured historical landmark.

Witness the breathtaking geological spectacle at Þingvellir, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates slowly drift apart. This gradual movement has created an awe-inspiring gap over millennia, showcasing a natural wonder unlike any other.

Our adventure continues as we venture inland to the Geysir Hot Spring area, a hub of geothermal activity. Here, you'll encounter bubbling mud pits and spectacular hot springs. Brace yourself for some exhilarating moments – if the winds are favorable, you might just experience the thrill of being sprayed by the majestic geyser!

Next, we journey to the majestic Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most magnificent waterfalls. Nestled on the Hvítá river and fueled by the Langjökull Glacier, Gullfoss cascades 32 meters in a two-tiered fall into a dramatic canyon. With a bit of luck and sunshine, a stunning rainbow may grace your visit, adding to the magical experience.

Our grand finale takes us to the Langjökull Glacier for an unforgettable Icelandic escapade. Here, we'll zoom across the snowy landscape on snowmobiles (2 guests per machine), surrounded by breathtaking mountain views in this frosty wonderland. Join us for an adventure that promises to be both enchanting and exhilarating!  If the snowmobile glacier doesn't excite you, join your Tour Director and visit a geothermal bakery!  Later, we return to the hotel in Reykjavik.  Please note the order of experiences could be adjusted as needed.

Included Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch in the Golden Circle

Day 4:  November 5
South Coast & Vik

This morning we check out of the hotel and make our way to Iceland’s south coast. Skógafoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland, boasting a drop of 196ft and a width of 49ft., and is a major attractions along the South Coast. Visitors to Skógafoss can walk right up to where the cascading water crashes into the ground, making for fantastic photographs. Following an included lunch, we make our way to the Reynisfjara black sand beach before arriving at Hjörleifhöfði (Yoda cave).  Early evening finds us arriving at the Vik I Mydral Hotel for the next two nights.

Day 5:  November 6
Glacier Lagoon & Skaftafell

This morning we depart for Skaftafell National Park.  Enjoy some leisure time for a short hike including the opportunity for several photo opportunities of the Svartifoss waterfall.  Later, we continue to Jökulsárlón, which is a glacial lagoon and was recently designated as a part of Vatnajökull National Park. Its still blue waters are a sight not to be missed, as it is dotted with the icebergs from the edge of Breiðamerkurjökull, a part of the Vatnajökull glacier. The lagoon flows through a narrow gateway into the Atlantic Ocean, leaving the spectacular sight of the large chunks of ice on the black sandy beach. Experience the lagoon first hand on a thrilling amphibian boat tour of the lagoon.  Year-round seals can be seen basking on the blue-tinted icebergs. At Diamond Beach, the icebergs which fill the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon wash up on shore, creating a stark contrast with the volcanic black sand. Wildlife-enthusiasts also frequent the site as many seals call the beach home, and it is one of the best places in the country to see orcas from the shore.

Included Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch
