Day 1:  September 3
Fly To Budapest, Hungary 

Depart the United States for an overnight flight to Europe and Budapest.  Group flight (Delta/KLM departs MSP at 9:20PM)

Day 2:  September 4
Arrive in Budapest

We arrive in the capital of Hungary, Budapest. We are met by our local guide before transferring to the Budapest city center. Our local guide will offer a short orientation tour of the area before checking into our comfortable and centrally located hotel.  The Group flight connects in Amsterdam and arrives in Budapest at 4:20PM.

Day 3:  September 5
Budapest City Tour

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, we welcome a knowledgeable local guide to lead our exploration of Budapest. Our journey of discovery starts at the iconic Heroes Square, a solemn memorial honoring Hungary's history and warriors. The tour continues through the historic Castle Hill area, where we'll marvel at the ancient splendors of the Mathias Church, dating back to the 13th century. You'll then have some leisure time to delve deeper into the city's wonders at your own pace. Perhaps visit the renowned thermal baths or reflect on the somber history at the House of Terror, once the headquarters of fascist and communist regimes. As evening falls, Budapest transforms into a dazzling spectacle. We'll witness the city's breathtaking beauty under the night sky during a serene cruise along the Danube River, showcasing the illuminated cityscape.

Day 4:  September 6
Bratislava & Danube Cruise

Leaving Hungary behind, we journey through picturesque villages and the scenic landscapes of the European countryside, making our way to Bratislava. This city, known for its vibrant culture and as the capital of Slovakia, welcomes us warmly. You'll have the opportunity to explore this hidden gem and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterward, we embark on an exhilarating high-speed boat ride along the Danube, setting course for Austria and its majestic capital, Vienna. Upon our arrival in Vienna, we'll settle into our centrally located accommodations, where we'll stay for the next three nights.

Day 5:  September 7
Vienna City Tour - Mozart & Strauss Concert

Joined by a local expert, we embark on a tour to discover the splendors of Vienna, the heart of the Hapsburg Empire. Our journey takes us to landmark sites including the majestic Parliament buildings, the renowned National Opera House, and the awe-inspiring St. Stephen's Cathedral, a marvel of Vienna's architectural heritage. The afternoon offers you the freedom to wander and uncover the city's many treasures on your own. This evening, we have reservations at the exquisite Kursalon Concert Hall, a jewel of Viennese architecture. There, we'll be treated to an enchanting classical concert, a celebration of the timeless compositions of Mozart and Strauss, immersing us in the rich musical legacy of Vienna.

Day 6:  September 8
Schoenbrunn Palace Tour

Today, our morning is dedicated to exploring the Schönbrunn Palace, the beloved residence of the Hapsburg dynasty and a childhood home of Marie Antoinette. We'll venture through several of the palace's 1,400 rooms, immersing ourselves in its opulent history. Following the palace tour, you'll have time to meander through the stunning Schönbrunn gardens at your leisure. Following our Palace tour, enjoy a classic strudel tasting at a local restaurant.  The rest of your day is yours to enjoy, offering the chance to delve further into Vienna's sophisticated charm. This evening, we come together for a memorable dinner in Grinzing, a quaint former wine-producing village. Here, we'll indulge in some of Austria's finest wines, rounding off our day with a taste of local tradition.

Day 7:  September 9
Cesky Krumlov & Prague

Our journey today takes us to the Czech Republic, where we arrive in the enchanting medieval village of Cesky Krumlov, nestled along the Vltava River. Here, we'll have the opportunity to explore one of Eastern Europe's most picturesque and unspoiled villages. Our adventure continues as we head to the historic city of Prague, a place where a tapestry of architectural styles - from Romanesque and Gothic to Renaissance, Baroque, and Art Nouveau - weaves together, creating one of Europe's most stunning urban landscapes. For the next three nights, we'll be staying in the heart of Prague, conveniently located just a short walk from the city's major attractions.

Day 8:  September 10
Prague Old Town Tour

Accompanied by a local guide, our exploration of Prague takes us to the impressive Prague Castle. Here, we'll wander through its myriad of courtyards and gardens, and marvel at the grandeur of St. Vitus Cathedral. Our journey continues as we stroll through the charming streets of Prague's Old Town and the historic Jewish quarter, Josefov. As the evening sets in, experience the vibrant nightlife of Prague with a delightful dinner at a traditional Czech restaurant, where you'll have the chance to savor authentic Czech cuisine and taste a variety of famous Czech beers.

Day 9:  September 11
Prague Castle Tour - Vltava River Cruise

Take advantage of some leisure time in Prague to embark on your own explorations. Wander through its enchanting streets, discover unique shopping opportunities, and immerse yourself in the fairy-tale ambiance of this captivating city. As evening approaches, we'll come together for a magical river cruise along the Vltava, showcasing Prague's illuminated beauty. The day culminates with a special farewell dinner, where you'll be treated to traditional Czech cuisine, providing a perfect end to our memorable journey.

Day 10:  September 12
Fly Home from Prague

After breakfast, we fly home from Prague with many memories of our time in Eastern Europe.  The group flight departs Prague at 08:50AM and connects in Amsterdam before arriving back in MSP at 3:05PM
