Day 1:
Fly To Germany
Depart the United States for an overnight flight to Europe and the charm of Austria and Germany. Included Meals: Light Dinner & Breakfast on Plane
Day 2:
Dachau & Austrian Alps
Guten tag Germany! Upon arrival in Munich we make a poignant stop at the Dachau Memorial Site. Later, we settle into our comfortable accommodations for the next four nights in a quaint alpine village in Kitzbuhel Austria. Tonight, join fellow travelers during our delicious Welcome Dinner.

Day 3:
Berchtesgaden & Eagle’s Nest
This morning we are off to Germany and the village of Berchtesgaden, which is nestled in the cozy Bavarian Alps. Berchtesgaden is well known for being one of the most beautiful areas in Germany and the mountain home of Adolf Hitler. We have the opportunity to visit the Eagle’s Nest and the remains of Hitler’s mountain retreat. The Eagles Nest is well known for its stunning views of the area. Later we enjoy a cruise on Bavaria’s stunning Lake Konigssee. Late this afternoon we return to the Austrian Alps.

Day 4:
Salzburg & Sound Of Music
We are off to the city of Salzburg which is well known from the film ‘Sound of Music’. We will be joined by a local guide as we discover one of Austria’s most beautiful and recognized cities. We have time to explore the quaint cobble-stoned streets with the opportunity to visit the medieval fortress that lies above the city. Later we tour a historic brewery in Salzburg.

Day 5:
Alpine Harvest Festival
Today we partake in a unique festival known only to the Alps...The Almabtrieb Festival. Here we will join village residents as they celebrate the cows and farmers returning from the mountain pastures during a festival of thanksgiving. The cows are adorned with colorful and traditional headdresses as they make their way through the village - this festival is always a highlight. Tonight, enjoy a Tyrolean dinner and show in celebration of this unique festival.

Day 6:
Innsbruck
We depart for the capital of the Tyrol, Innsbruck. A local guide takes us through this Olympic Ski town and introduces us to the Old Town and the Golden Dachl (Golden Roof). We will enjoy some free time to explore the city and its beautiful mountain views. Later we arrive at our accommodations in Bavaria for the next three nights.

Day 7:
Oktoberfest
This morning we travel to the capital of Bavaria, Munich. Here we will visit the city center including the Marienplatz and the famous beer hall, Höfbräuhaus. This afternoon we join in one of the world’s largest festivals, the Oktoberfest! You will have time to explore the many beer festzelts including the traditional sounds and tastes of the Oktoberfest.

Day 8:
Neuschwanstein Castle
Today we visit the famous King Ludwig’s Neuschwanstein Castle which was inspiration for Walt Disney. We will explore the interior of the castle and see what makes Neuschwanstein so special. Later, we return to the hotel for a Farewell Dinner.

Day 9:
Aüf Wiedersehen Germany
This morning we depart for the airport in Munich as we say auf Wiedersehen to Austria and Germany!

Stolhanske is a Minnesota-native, actor, writer, producer, and member of the comedy group Broken Lizard. He has co-written, produced and starred in all of Broken Lizards’ films – including Beerfest, Puddle Cruiser, Super Troopers, Club Dread, The Slammin’ Salmon and the soon-to-be released Super Troopers 2. He is best known for his role as “Rabbit” in the hit cop-comedy, Super Troopers.
